I am excited to share with you some inspiring stories of individuals who have made a significant impact on their communities and beyond. It is important to acknowledge and recognize the great work done by people from diverse backgrounds and experiences, and today we will be focusing on two exceptional individuals - Michael Bitz and Michael Verbitsky.

Meet Michael Bitz:

Michael Bitz is an educator and founder of the ‘Catalyst Foundation’, an organization that empowers teachers to integrate digital storytelling into their classrooms.

Through his work, he has been able to reach out to students in marginalized communities and give them a platform to tell their stories. Michael believes that storytelling is a powerful tool for self-expression and has the ability to change lives. His innovative approach has received much recognition, and he has been a guest speaker at several conferences and events, including the ‘Summit on Canada’s Global Leadership’.

Meet Michael Verbitsky:

Michael Verbitsky is a former NYPD officer, who has dedicated his life to serving and protecting his community. In 2015, he was assaulted while on duty and suffered serious injuries. The incident left him with PTSD, and he was forced to retire from the force.

Despite his hardships, Michael remains committed to making a positive impact in his community. He works with various organizations to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and well-being. He believes that it is crucial for individuals to seek help when they need it and is passionate about fostering a culture of compassion and support.

The power of the individual:

Michael Bitz and Michael Verbitsky are both examples of individuals who have made a difference in their communities, and beyond. They are living proof that one person has the power to effect change and inspire others to do the same.

As we navigate through challenging times, it is important to remember that we are all capable of making a difference. We can choose to be the change we wish to see in the world, and to lead by example.
